“โลกสวย” [lôke sǔai] 

Literal meaning::: The world is beautiful / beautiful world.

Slang meaning::: to be overly positive or to have an unrealistically positive expectation or attitude towards the society or the world.

This expression is usually used among close friends as it tends to be used as a criticism. Look at the examples below.

Examples: 

1) A: เด็กสมัยนี้กินเหล้าไม่เป็นหรอก
[dèk samǎi níi gin lâo mâi pen ràwk]
I bet teenagers these days don’t know how to drink!

B: โอ้โห โลกสวยตลอด
[ôo hǒ, lôke sǔai talàwd]
Wow, you always think so positively about the society!

2) A: ไม่เกินปีหน้า กรุงเทพก็จะไม่มีปัญหารถติดแล้ว
[mâi gern pii nâa, grungthêp gâw jà mâi mii panhǎa rót tìd léaw]

B: อย่ามาโลกสวยแถวนี้
[yàa maa lôke sǔai tǎew níi]
