Transcription
: A service that turns spoken Thai into a text form

PickupThai offers two types of transcription service: “Media Transcription” and “Text Transcription”

1. Media Transcription
1.1) Video –> Text
1.2) Audio –> Text

Do you need some speech, in audio or video form, turned into a written text? Whether it’s Youtube content, a Thai commercial, a Thai TV show or even your own voice reading a message, we will turn it into written Thai for you, for just 150 THB per minute of audio/video.

2. Text Transcription
2.1) Handwritten Text –> Typed Text
2.2) Transliterated Text –> Thai Scripted Text

If you need a handwritten message or an illegible scribbled text already written in Thai typed out so it’s easier to read, or if you just need some Thai script digitized, we’ll transcribe existing Thai writing for just 20 THB per line. Additionally, we can transcribe a message written in transliteration into Thai script for the same price.

I’m interested in using this service, what do I do?

Step 1. Send us an audio or a video of the content you need transcribed or a link to the media by email. For the second type of the service, a scan or a photo of the handwritten message. Please also let us know if you’d prefer us to use some specific font.
Step 2. We give you the quote for the cost.
Step 3. Make a payment via Paypal or bank transfer.
Step 4. We deliver the transcribed text to you.

Audio Recording
: A service that turns written text into an audio recording.

Do you have some Thai text you need correctly read aloud by a native speaker? Perhaps you just want to know how to pronounce something correctly, or you have a story you’d like to learn how to read aloud, or you just have an email message in Thai that you can’t read but would be able to understand if it were read aloud? We’ve got the solution. Send the text to us and we will read it aloud and create an audio file for you. We’ll record anything you like with either a male or female voice for 100 THB per recorded minute. Unless otherwise specified, the recording will be in MP3 format, and the finished product will be delivered by email.

Step 1. Send us the text that you need read by email. Indicate whether you want it read at normal (native speaker) or slower speed, and whether by a male or female voice.
Step 2. We’ll send you a quote.
Step 3. Make payment via Paypal or bank transfer.
Step 4. We’ll deliver the recording to you by email.

Translation
: A service that converts English text into Thai, or Thai into English.

We offer both English-Thai and Thai-English translation services for those who need help with communicating with Thai people. Our many years of experience working as freelance translators, includes with large-scale translation companies like Eqho Communications and LionBridge. You can count on us to deliver natural sounding, accurate translations. We can translate anything from a love letter to website content to a business contract. The rate varies according to the difficulty of the content, the urgency of the project and the word count of the text. For simple texts (no technical terms) such as a letter or an email message, the rate is 250 THB per 100 English or Thai words.

Step 1. Send us the text that you need translated by email. Let us know if you want it done urgently or if you have a near deadline (an additional charge will apply).
Step 2. We’ll send you a quote and let you know the estimated turnaround time.
Step 3. Make payment via Paypal or bank transfer.
Step 4. We’ll deliver the translation to you.

Interpretation
: A service to help you communicate smoothly with a Thai person.

Is a language barrier causing a problem in your relationship or business? If you have a hard time communicating with your Thai partner or a Thai friend in English, we are here to help! We offer interpretation service via Skype to help you and your Thai partner/friend communicate for better understanding. The rate is 1,000 THB per 30 minutes. If you’re looking for someone to interpret for you in other contexts, please contact us for further discussion.

I’m interested in using this service, what do I do?

Step 1. Contact us by email and provide us with information concerning the conversation that you’re going to have us interpret, the background details about yourself and your relationship with the person you’re going to talk to during the session. Also, let us know how much time you’re going to spend and the date and time you’d prefer to have the service take place.
Step 2. We check our availability and confirm the time with you.
Step 3. Make payment via Paypal or bank transfer.
Step 4. We’ll meet on Skype at the scheduled date and time for the duration of time that you have scheduled.
