Dad: Well, your father isn’t as rich as my father!
กู: …ค่ะพ่อ
[kâa pâw]
Me: … Alright.
[ – – N o t e – – ]
กู [guu] is an impolite first person pronoun. We only use it with close friends or close family members of the same age or younger. If you use it with anyone else, there is a chance you offend that person. You might come across it often on social media as it’s sometimes used to make the message sound funnier.
