“มีอย่างที่ไหน… [mii yàang tîi nǎi]” is a colloquial expression used to criticize someone’s action or behavior. อย่าง [yàang] comes from the word ตัวอย่าง [tua yàang] which means “example.” The literal meaning of this expression is “Where is an example of such and such action or behavior?” which implies that no one else does or has ever done that action before. When you say “มีอย่างที่ไหน… [mii yàang tîi nǎi]” to someone, you’re basically complaining or criticizing that he or she shouldn’t do something and saying that you can’t believe what he or she does or did.

มีอย่างที่ไหนลืมใส่แว่นขับรถ
[mii yàang tîi nǎi leum sài wâen kàp rót]
Who the heck forgets to wear glasses when they drive like you!?
(How could you forget your glasses!?)

มีอย่างที่ไหนให้คนข้างหลังแซวคิว
[mii yàang tîi nǎi hâi kon kâang lǎng saeng kiw]
Who the heck lets the person behind them cut in line like you!? (You’re so stupid!)

มีอย่างที่ไหนใส่ชุดนอนออกไปจ่ายตลาด
[mii yàang tîi nǎi sài chút nawn àwk pai jàai talàad]
Who the heck does grocery shopping in pyjamas like you!? (You’re crazy!)

มีอย่างที่ไหนกินเสร็จแล้วนอน นอนเสร็จแล้วกัน
[mii yàang tîi nǎi gin sèt léaw nawn, nawn sèt léaw gin]
Who the heck only eats and sleeps and then, sleeps and eats like you!? (You’re so lazy!)
