[Did you know .. ]

Did you know that apart from “to like”, “ชอบ” [châwp] can also mean “often” or “always” as well? เขาชอบมาสาย [káo châwp maa sǎai] doesn’t mean “He likes to come late” but it means “He often comes late.”

More examples:

ทำไมแกชอบไม่ฟังที่ฉันพูด
[tammai gae châwp mâi fang tîi chán phûut]
How come you always don’t listen to what I say?
