In the colloquial Thai language, Thai people often drop the word “ที่” [tîi] after the verbs “อยู่” [yùu], “มา” [maa] and “ไป” [pai]. For examples, instead of “ไปที่ไหน” [pai tîi nǎi] “Where are you going?,” we would rather say “ไปไหน” [pai nǎi]. And instead of “อยู่ที่ไหน” [yùu tîi nǎi] “Where are you?,” we would just say “อยู่ไหน” [yùu nǎi]. Try dropping the word “ที่” [tîi] next time and sound more like a Thai person!
