ขอ [kǎw] To ask for something / to request

“บอก” [bàwk], meaning “to tell,” is one of the verbs that go with the word “ว่า” [wâa] meaning “that…” as in “(to tell someone) that…” There are many other words like this, such as “จำได้” [jam dâai] “to remember,” “พูด” [phûut] “to say,” “แนะนำ” [náe nam] “to suggest” etc. To learn more, check out our lesson on “Verbs Used With “ว่า [wâa].”
